Biomimicry: Let nature take its course

Wouldn't it be great if some day everything was made naturally?
For example what if roads were made of all natural material instead of toxins that pollute our planet. We could use a waterproof adhesive that a mollusk produces to keep the road intact even through severe weather. This would eliminate dirty harmful materials that people would have to be around during the process of making roads. Also we could find a natural deicer that would be mixed into this road making process and would keep the roads safe during harsh freezing winters, especially here in Minnesota. This would prevent a lot of people from getting into accidents and sliding off the road.
So this would truly be amazing if one day we turn towards harnessing nature as our main product building material.
